Winsome Wednesday - FOCUS

I found this acrostic on facebook yesterday.  It really spoke to me because currently we are trusting the Lord for something really big.  Big to us, not to Him, smiles!  The thing is, one immediately starts thinking of a plan B or plan C, incase God won't come through, or incase we got it wrong!  When in fact we should hang on to what we believe the Lord wants for us, and not be double-minded!  Especially if you feel you have received a word or confirmation, or something that convinces you in the moment that this is the path the Lord has set you on.

James 1 v 8:  [For being as he is] a man of two minds (hesitating, dubious, irresolute), [he is] unstable and unreliable and uncertain about everything [he thinks, feels, decides].

My encouragement to you is to keep believing.  No matter how doubtful it looks or who is trying to change your mind, so long as you feel the Lord is in it, and guiding you, have faith, stand firm and do not be double-minded.

God bless

This is a space to come and be encouraged.  You can link as many posts as you want so long as they bring glory to the Lord.  If you have time, please visit the person ahead of you and I am sure you too will be encouraged.  I look forward to seeing you here.
Feel free to link up below:

  1. I love acrostics & this one was so timely. Grateful you shared it!

  2. A timely reminder to me to stand firm and follow the path I am on! Thank you

  3. I'm currently reading "Decisive" about making decisions so this was interesting for me to come cross. :) Stick with what you know to be the best decision! It's sometimes hard to stay focused in a world of so many choices.

  4. Sometimes believing is difficult, especially when God asks us to wait for Him to work. My double-mindedness usually occurs when I start listening to the lies of the enemy. He plants thoughts, or inflames ones that I already have.

Sometimes focusing means shutting out all the words but the Word. And the Word tells me that God is faithful.

  5. Yes FOCUS is when we keep our eyes on Jesus and not the circumstances! Time to walk on water!
