Frozen in time!

This is a post I wrote about a six months ago as a guest post.  Wow, how things change when God's plans start being realized.  I want to encourage you today with this post that whatever you are going through, "THIS TOO SHALL PASS!"

Frozen in Time!

I feel frozen.  I feel unable to do anything!  I love being creative, although I am not a creative person.  I'm good at following a pattern and I'm practical and get stuff done.  But, this thing that hangs over us constantly, is freezing me up.
  • My emotions are freaking out!  Either really calm or really over the top
  • I am getting nothing done.
  • I'm not trying anything new
  • I am not completing projects I've started
I suppose at the end of the day, that is exactly what the devil wants.  So, I suppose the plan is to do what the devil does not want me to do.  In that case,
  • I need to continue on with existing projects.  I will go hunt down that knitting thing I started.
  • I need to try new things, eg something new to cook, tackle making that lamp shade cover, maybe go somewhere new
  • I need to praise and worship until all those negative thoughts have no room left in my head.
Your Word Lord, keeps me from freezing....

Yep, that is my plan of action.  I will put on my praise music, take out my half-finished project, look for a new recipe to try and get on with it.  I know God will restore all this situation has stolen, but I mustn't add to this thievery by freezing up and stopping living.  That, I know God does not want for me!

Joel 2 v 25:  I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten....
Amen and amen!

Today, the things I speak of above are a thing of the past.  God gave us victory where victory seemed vague and unsure.  My encouragement to you is to hang in there.  God is not done!

God bless

Linking this week with these lovely ladies:
(You will find links to their bloghops HERE:)

  1. It is encouraging to hear of victory. And creative projects.

  2. I surely feel this way at times; always blame it on "not enough time"! But I know who is really to blame! Thanks Tracy; makes me want to get going! :)

    Blessings and love dear friend!

  3. You know, when I think about doing what God wants me to do, I don't really think of it as also NOT doing what the enemy wants me to do. I like that idea.

So, thanks for the encouragement - hanging in there - God is at work, and HE IS NOT DONE!

  4. Dear Tracey
Giving our thought and emotions to our Lord Jesus, asking Him to be Lord over them as well, brings a song of praise to our hearts!
    Blessings XX

  5. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. And then to share after you have been given the victory is wonderful! Like you, I have found praise & music to keep my heart soft & pliable in His hands during the difficult days. I am visiting from True Stories this morning.
    Have a great Tues.!

  6. Bless you for the encouragement.

  7. God is good and praising him does lift our spirits. Focus on his goodness and cast the past on him, Thanks for sharing at "Tell me a Story." NO problem to fix the duplicate.

  8. Hi Tracy! I love the filling your head with praise and worship until the bad stuff has no more room to stay. That is a great image! And who hasn't felt so low, so empty at times? I can completely relate.

You said 'things change', so I you are on your way to fruitfulness! So encouraging :)

  9. Hi Tracy, it sounds like you have a great plan. I can sure relate to what you shared and when we begin to take action even in little things God is partnering with us and blessing us. God truly does restore the years the locusts have destroyed, He redeems our lost time and is so faithful to crown our lives with good things from His hand. May His blessing be rich and full upon your life.

  10. Hi Tracy, That was encouraging to read your plan because I often find myself in the same boat. In fact that's where I am today. Had to go out for an appointment this morning and it got me off track. Need to get back to work now. Your determination will help me become determined myself - think I'll put some praise music on too.

  11. You are so right. The enemy would leave us feeling defeated in every way. The first thing I do is praise. when I can do nothing else, I turn it up really loud. Then I enter in and when I feel His presence come, then I begin to stomp on the enemy! Thank you for sharing!
