Winsome Wednesday - Be Still and Rest!

I think we are all at some point in our day waiting on the Lord for an answer.  Do we wait?  Do we go forward?  Do we ignore this?  Do we contact them?  Do we try that?  So many questions.  So many potential problems and so many outcomes we can imagine.

But at the end of the day, ONLY GOD KNOWS!  And it is our job to hand over our problems, big and small, to our Saviour, our Father!  He says so, He says to leave all that weight at His feet and walk lighter in the freedom of knowing that He is in control.

Ps 37 v 3:  Trust (lean on rely on, and be confident) in the Lord and do good;  so shall you dwell in the land and feed surely on His faithfulness, and truly you shall be fed.

You know, to be fed on His faithfulness is an amazing thing to think on.  Why?  Because God IS faithful and He cannot change who He is, thus He remains faithful no matter our failings.  My encouragement to you is to think on that and release your worries, every time they come to mind, to Him.

God bless

This is a space to come and be encouraged.  You can link as many posts as you want so long as they bring glory to the Lord.  If you have time, please visit the person ahead of you and I am sure you too will be encouraged.  I look forward to seeing you here.
Feel free to link up below:

  1. Sometimes I'm not sure which is harder for me - to be still, or to rest. (Of course, they go hand-in-hand!)

Like you said, the challenge is bringing our problems, our struggles, our worries to the foot of the cross - and then LEAVING them there! Knowing that God is in control is both something we acknowledge with our minds, and then act on with our will and emotions as we trust Him.

  2. Dear Tracy
That unchangeable truth that our Pappa cannot change and therefore always loves us unconditionally, as well as always being faithful even when we are not, is some of the greatest news ever! Let us always ponder on that!
    Bless you, dear Tracy

  3. Your words always encourage Tracy. This reminder to be still and rest is needed. Thank you for your heart.

  4. We've been on vacation in NYC this week and have been walking, walking, walking SO much that my feet are killing me by the end of the day. So I needed to hear your encouragement that even though my feet are carrying me around physically, the Lord is the one really carrying me everywhere I go. I want to rest in that.

  5. I have this quote on my desk: "The Lord will fight for you. You need only to be still" (Exodus 14:14) - maybe I got it from you a few months ago - and I am learning that much happens in the stillness - beautiful stuff!

  6. Thanks so much for the linkup today!!
