A Little Perspective...

Sometimes our problems just seem insurmountable.  Seriously, I have felt and will again feel that way about things that happen in my life.  People tell you that there is light at the end of the tunnel (and usually you think, "yes, a train!")  and others will tell you that someone out there is having it way worse than you.  And that is definitely true.  There are many out there who suffer way more than I ever have.

But.... in the moment, in the storm, in the desert... it still feels like the impossible has arrived.

And then... a scripture like this pops up and helps to put all our problems into perspective:
Ps 74 v 15-17:  You broke open the fountain and the flood;  You dried up mighty rivers.  (16) The day is Yours, the night also is Yours;  You have prepared the light and the sun.  (17) You have set all the borders of the earth;  You have made summer and winter....

God has got everything, absolutely everything, under control.  The devil wants us to believe otherwise, our circumstances make us believe otherwise.  But the truth of the matter is, GOD HAS GOT EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL.

My encouragement to you today is to remember God created everything, you, the world you live in, the universe.  Your tribulation is not a big problem for Him!  Let Him take care of it for you.  He wants you to focus on Him and while you do, He sorts out the problem in ways you could never imagine.  It does sometimes take time, but every speck of faith you can muster, is rewarded.

God bless

  1. Wonderful encouragement Tracy; we all have our burdens to bear at times, and sometimes they seem more than we can handle! Thanks for such lovely words today dear friend, and for always having amazing faith!

    Love and bunches of hugs!

  2. Dear Tracy
This is so true! God didn't promise us a problem free life. Actually, He promised us that He loves so much that He will refine our faith through the refiner's fire of suffering. But He also promised us in Romans 8 that nothing, absolutely nothing, will ever be able to separate us from His love which in in Jesus!
    Much love XX

  3. Hi Tracy ~ Thanks for praying for me. I can use it. Your post is much like my thoughts as well....GOD does have everything under control! We need to relax and breathe! Right?? The evil one just tries to keep us under his thumb and we need to switch it up and put him under our foot!! Why is that so hard sometimes? Especially when we know all that GOD has done for us. Keep pressing in Tracy! Praying for you as well!

    Blessings to you...Chelle

  4. Hi Tracy -
This morning I was reminded that God brings us through varied times in our lives - all for our good. Thank you for sharing these thoughts today! I visited from Unite :)

  5. Tracy,
Thank you for your encouraging words this morning. They were needed. He really is an amazing God! I'm so grateful.

  6. This is so true! We need that *heavenly* perspective to see things in the right way. ALL things work together for good - KEEP your eyes focused on Jesus - pray CONTINUALLY. The Word of God truly is the believer's owner's manual, teaching us how to operate in this life!!

And, like I said to my sons when I said good-bye yesterday - "GOD STILL RULES!!"

  7. Thanks Tracy. I have no words. Thank you. You're writing for me again.

  8. Yes, He broke open the fountains, and then dried up the rivers! WOW, May I ever draw closer to Him for his mighty arm is not shortened and his ear is NOT heavy. "Thanks for sharing at Tell Me a Story." You always select the best scripture to go with your story!

  9. What a great encouragement your post is this morning! I am a new from southern charm! I would love for you to check out my blog and hopefully follow me back! Nicole

  10. Tracy, you always encourage my heart. Things seem out of control and I try to fix it, but only God truly can. He is in control and He can fix it in mighty ways I never imagined. Thank you for this reminder.

Thanks for linking up with Woman to Woman. God bless friend!

  11. "He sorts out the problem in ways you could never imagine." Yes!! I am looking for what God will do in a situation in my life and found this statement (your whole post actually) to be such an encouragement.

Thanks for linking up over at WholeHearted Home.
