Winsome Wednesday - Wise Ways!

They say if you want to know more how to relate to God, read the Psalms.  And if you want to relate better to man, read Proverbs!   I love the book of Proverbs.  It cuts to the chase!  So many gems in Proverbs!  Today I am feeling challenged by Prov 3 v 17:  Her (Wisdom's) ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her (Wisdom's) paths are peace.  Amen and amen.

It is wise to be pleasant in your ways and when demonstrating Godly Wisdom.  A person can be wise and be arrogant in attitude.  That attitude cancels out the benefit of the wisdom because it becomes about the attitude.

In Prov 4 v 6 it says:  Do not forsake her (Wisdom), and she (Wisdom) will preserve you.

My encouragement and challenge to you is seek Godly wisdom, but in the using of it, be pleasant!  So God gets the glory and you the benefit.

God bless

This is a space to come and be encouraged.  You can link as many posts as you want so long as they bring glory to the Lord.  If you have time, please visit the person ahead of you and I am sure you too will be encouraged.  I look forward to seeing you here.

And I love that part of Ecclesiastes where Solomon concludes that wisdom starts with the fear of The Lord! Thanks for thoughtful words.

  13. The proverbs are good, even though they can be tough to swallow sometimes!

  14. So often we think of wisdom as something dry and boring or constraining, but the Bible shows us otherwise. Thank you for the reminder.
    Keep up the God work.
P.S. of all the blog hop buttons~i like your design the whimsical!

  15. I'm continually amazed at how relevant Proverbs is for daily life. The insights keep on coming...

My husband spent 2012 reading through Proverbs - and he shared his insights as he went through over and over. He's continued into 2013 - this is his 6th time through.
