Winsome Wednesday - Pace Yourself!

I'm exhausted.  Its not just moving and all that entails.  Its the stress and frustrations that go with it.  Also there are highs.  The highs of being where you want to be, the highs of all the plans you have for the new place.  Yup, highs and lows.  All very exhausting.

Finally I got to my paperwork.  Man, I left that stuff way too long.  So right now, I am exhausted.  So I am going to leave you with an encouraging scripture and pray the week ahead is blessed and filled with God-surprises at every turn, or, God-strength, wherever you need it!  He knows your needs.

Psalm 127
A Song of [a]Ascents. Of Solomon.

1 Except the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; except the Lord keeps the city, the watchman wakes but in vain.

2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to take rest late, to eat the bread of [anxious] toil—for He gives [blessings] to His beloved in sleep.

I read this, this morning!  Maybe the Lord is trying to tell me not to overdo it?  He is always the One in control!

God bless
Tracy

  2. Ohhh, I completely understand. Moving is so stressful, and sometimes we forget that if we do little bits along the way, it will save us in the long run. I am so good at not pacing myself. Hopefully I'm learning....

    1. Hi Rosilind, for me pacing myself is going to be a forever thing, lol! Either full speed or not moving at all. Balance is a tough thing to achieve. But, with the Lord's help, I am improving :)

  3. Making a house a home is a difficult task. We have been in our home for 6 years and it's finally almost exactly how I want it. The one thing I've learned over the years is that the home changes as our needs/seasons in life change. What is utilitarian one year may be just for show another...good luck as you build your nest. The fact your heart is so desiring this to be a place filled with Jesus and lots of love means it's going to be amazing no matter what surrounds you! xoxo Nicki

  4. My heart skipped a beat as I read your graphic. Yesterday in my online Bible Study group (Hello Mornings), I felt led to share a link to the old song, God is Good, which started an entire conversation. This morning in my FB feed was a graphic which said, God is Good & I shared that with the ladies. And now your graphic :) I think God is definitely making sure our group gets the memo: "God is good all the time & all the time God is good :)" So good to join you this morning. Continued blessings on your move as you settle in!

  5. What a great post that so quickly puts everything into perspective and says what is important to do at the moment. Like taking care of our homes is most important.

  6. Paperwork is no fun, and the longer you leave it the bigger a monster it becomes! Here's hoping your seeing the light at the end of that tunnel! Have a restful week in your new digs!

  9. Resting in the Lord - it's sometimes so hard for me to do. But, it's what He calls us to do. Take His yoke, for His burden is light. Oh, how I carry unnecessary things because I try to do everything in my own power.

Still learning how to let go...

    GOD BLESS!
