Winsome Wednesday - Have you been wronged?

I want to encourage you today to never give up.  For a long time we were wronged and I cried out to the Lord and I tried to open the eyes of those who chose to believe the lies about us, until I finally gave up.  On one hand I gave up, but truly, I finally listened to the Lord when He said, "Leave them to me!"

The Lord has promised vindication in His word, Psalm 17 v 2:  Let my sentence of vindication come from You!  May Your eyes behold the things that are just and upright.

The lesson I have learnt here is that true vindication comes from the Lord, not from me convincing someone of my being in the right.  And God's way leads to healing and restoration.

Be encouraged if you too are waiting for the eyes of those who refuse to see to be opened.  Trust the Lord to do it and He will, in His way and in His time.

God bless
Tracy

    1. Hi Joan, I believe that with all my heart. God does expose with His light, the lies and when He does He deals with it. His way though is always better than ours :)
      God bless my friend

  5. My daughter is walking through a situation of being wronged. It's hard as her mom to watch it happen and say let the Lord handle it. But so far He's given me grace to advise that. He won't be late in showing up, even though it may appear that way to us. Thanks for this encouragement today, Tracy. I take it personally.

    1. Hi Lisa, I'm glad you could get something out of this. i certainly have learnt trying to open the eyes of those who just don't want to see is a waste of my time and energy. I have also learnt that God's way is the only and the best way and He resolves things in ways we could never imagine.

  7. It is so super hard when we feel wronged by someone, and take it to God. Somehow it feels like He should act and make them see the light - when sometimes, we need to allow Him to shed light on the situation for us. There is always more to the story than we know. thanks for sharing this today!

    1. Hi Michelle, there is certainly peace in handing it over to the Lord, and yes, often times I think the time delay before vindication is a little about what He wants to teach us. Thanks for sharing, it means a lot
