Winsome Wednesday - Letting go... Brings Joy!

We have had a situation for the last 7 years which a year ago came to an end.  We are now in a position where in the worldly way of things: legally, logically, morally, we can pursue this further.... But what does God want of us?  I believe the Lord wants us to "Let it Go!"

The world would say, "But you are well within your rights to pursue this thing, morally etc."
The world would say, "To let go shows weakness, laziness, fear, guilt, etc."

But my God says differently! He says:
  • I will restore what the locust has eaten (Joel 2 v 25)
  • Vengeance is Mine says the Lord (Rom 12 v 19 and  Duet 32 v 35)
  • The battle is Mine to fight, let Me fight it for you (2 Chron 20 v 15)
  • Seek peace and pursue (Ps 34 v 14)

Yes, my pride would say, "I want the last word" or "I'm not giving in" but the Lord would have us hand the situation and the people involved over to Him.  They are God's problem and not ours.  God will not only deal with this in the perfect way (for us and for them) He will vindicate and bring peace and restoration - IN HIS TIME!

And in that LETTING GO..... There is peace....there is JOY!  Happy exhale....  They and this situation are no longer my problem.  Thank you Jesus!!!!

God bless
Tracy

  1. Oh, bless your heart. I know how difficult is is to let go of wrongs committed against us. You've chosen the high road -- which obedience to God always is. Thank you for providing this space for us to share our writings. ~Pamela

  2. That is a difficult thing to do. I'm glad you're finding joy in the letting go process. When I'm in those situations, I like to remind myself of how Jesus didn't speak back when he was being harassed and crucified. It takes a lot of love and self-discipline to not fight back.

  3. That is such good advice, Tracy! To "let go and let God..." can be difficult, but it is also so freeing! God knows the best way to deal with our accusers and/or enemies. He'll take care of things and we are free to move on. Yeah!

    Blessings, Joan

  4. Oh Tracy, it is so hard to let go. But, in this matter, it sounds like the Lord has given you the strength and peace to move on. I'm happy for you. There is joy in knowing that we can release things into His (very!) capable hands. And we can rest in His promise to take care of us.

    GOD BLESS!

  6. I like your thought of letting it go! We have had to do that many times and often it stings but God will take care of it in his way
