Winsome Wednesday - The Seasons, they are Changing....

Its getting cooler in the mornings and the evenings.  With a little bit of summer in-between!  The winds are cooler.  The days are shorter.... Yes, the seasons are changing.

My daughters are transitioning from teens to young adults and all that involves for them, they're away for longer periods of time, they need me less, they are growing up.... Yes, the seasons are changing.

My home is emptier, we feel like we are rattling around in it, we're thinking of moving, scaling down..... Yes, the seasons are changing.

We are doing things we never thought we would be able to do, we are taking opportunities to enjoy this life God has given us, despite all the bad news one hears every day, we are more content with who we are and where we are going.... Yes, the seasons are changing!

BUT:

GOD NEVER CHANGES!  Thank the Lord, He remains the same.  No matter the changes daily, weekly, monthly, annually!  He remains unchangeable!!!

Hebrews 13v8:  Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is [always] the same, yesterday, today, [yes] and forever (to the ages).

2 Tim 2v13:  If we are faithless [do not believe and are untrue to Him], He remains true (faithful to His Word and His righteous character), for He cannot deny Himself.

Yes, the seasons are changing, But God is not!  And for that I am truly grateful!  Thank You Jesus that You remain the same no matter what chaos reigns in our lives.  Amen

God bless
Tracy

  2. Yes, my season has changed - finding myself in a bit of a winter blah right now. But, through it all, Jesus is the Son that shines! He never changes, never wavers, never leaves my side.

    GOD BLESS!

  3. Change is inevitable. No matter how hard we try to stop the time from passing and the seasons of our life from changing, we cannot. However, like you wrote, God never changes! That is something to celebrate, for no matter what comes our way, no matter what changes we endure, we can count on the steadfastness of our God! What a comfort it is to remember that we can count on Him...always!

    Blessings, Joan

  5. I had to stop & pause as spring is beginning here. Then I found myself filled with gratitude that while the seasons may vary as we are in different parts of our world, our God remains the same for us both - faithful! So grateful for Him & for you! Blessings on your day!

  6. My youngest daughter just returned from 5 weeks in your lovely country!! She enjoyed having summer and missing our terribly cold winter!! The verse from Hebrews 13:8 was exactly what I needed and so I wrote it down. Have you ever heard of the song, "Yesterday, Today, Forever, Jesus is the Same" ?? Google it with A.B. Simpson who wrote it, if you'd like. I love the hymn.

    Thanks for the linkup party.

  8. My season has definitely changed. I was commenting to my husband last night that although I miss having kids in the house, I do enjoy the freedom of walking out of the house in a moment's notice if someone needs me elsewhere. But I'm SO very thankful that God never changes! He's our rock and anchor and steady refuge.

  9. If a the winds of change ever blow you to my neck of the woods, you must come by for dinner!!! Life is never stagnant, always changing. New things are like dancing for me - always graceless in the beginning as I learn the new steps! Wishing you blessing and grace in the next few weeks!
