I read this in a Christian novel by Susan May Warren, called "You don't know me". Really caught my attention. It kind of gives a more rounded deeper meaning to marriage. Maybe even a longer term one, like the marriage of Christ with His bride, the church. If we learn to grow and develop in our marriages and thus become more like God wants us to be, then we as the bride are being prepared for our marriage supper with the Lord. Just my musings....
Rev 19 v 7: Let us rejoice and shout for joy [exulting and triumphant]! Let us celebrate and ascribe to Him glory and honour, for the marriage of the Lamb [at last] has come, and His bride has prepared herself.
