Winsome Wednesday - Praise Him

The picture below is of a tree stump up the road from me and whenever I drive past it I think of the trees of the fields praising the Lord and it reminds me that I too should be praising the Lord.  It is something that I am learning slowly but surely, to praise the Lord in all my circumstances.  He requires of me to praise Him as I trust Him to change my circumstances.  There are just times in life when there is absolutely nothing you can do to change things.  After doing all that you can do, you have to trust!  You have to release your faith in the Father to protect and comfort you.

So, is there something in your life that reminds you to praise the Lord?  Know it is a reminder from Him to do so.  Praise releases God's power in your life like nothing else does.

Isaiah 55 v 12:  For you shall go out [from the spiritual exile caused by sin and evil into the homeland] with joy and be led forth [by your leader, the Lord Himself, and His word] with peace;  the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the fields shall clap their hands.

I encourage you today to praise the Lord no matter what your circumstances look like.  Good or bad, God will never leave you nor forsake you.

God bless
Tracy

  2. Hhmm, what do you think that tree is telling us? if we do not praise the Lord we will wither and die... (spiritually speaking). Good post, as always.

  4. Trees remind me to praise Him, too. With their uplifted arms, they live in that pose. May we do likewise. Thanks, Tracy.

  6. When I'm walking and looking for God - I look to the trees, their limbs reaching to Him - and it reminds me, comforts me - and I find my heart lifted, too! Blessings Tracy - that in the desert, when we just feel like we're just a stump of who we are to Him, may our limbs raise high in praise to Him!

  7. The thing that reminds me to praise the Lord is the view out my living room window. It is a view of the huge granite peak that stands so strong and immovable, reminding me that God is unchangeable, utterly reliable, perfectly trustworthy, and full of love for me.

That *grounds* me in the granite-like character of The Rock - and I will trust Him with the changing circumstances of my life.

    GOD BLESS!

  8. oh my gosh, what a GREAT tree! It makes me smile, perpetually praising God. :-)
Good post on remembering that God is good all the time, no matter our circumstances. For December, I'm posting on my facebook page, simple things to do to do this month to help me be more outreaching during the holiday season. It's helping me stay focused on the heart of Christmas, that God is good and active and that love is sacrificial. You might enjoy the suggestions. Check it out if you like. (click on my name and that will connect you to my blog, where there's a link to fb). It takes effort to keep the goodness on God in mind!
