Winsome Wednesday - The Day of Battle!

When we are preparing to fight a battle, be it in the home, the office, a relationship, whatever it is, we obviously need to prepare.  We need to pray, we need to seek advice, we need to read God's word.  Yes, we need to prepare.

But ultimately it is God who will deliver us and it is God who will fight the battle AND give us victory.  All He wants in return is the glory.  There are many examples of this in the word, and each one of us, in our lives.  Sometimes things seem hopeless and I think God allows that so we know when we get the victory, when we win the battle, it is GOD who fought and won the battle.  Not us in our strength.  I think He allows this sometimes so we cannot take the credit.  The credit IS HIS FOR THE TAKING!

Prov 21 v 31:  The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but deliverance and victory are of the Lord.

So, my encouragement to you is to do all you can to prepare, but remember, deliverance and victory are of the Lord.  Give Him the glory!

God bless
Tracy

  1. This verse immediately came to my mind:

" But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today...The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” (Exodus 14:13-14, NLT)

Yes, the victory is the Lord's, and He is the only One who can help us fight the battle! Fight on, Christian soldiers!

    GOD BLESS!

  2. Oh how often we want to steal his glory. :( But, yes, "The credit IS HIS FOR THE TAKING!" Thanks, Tracy. My pride always needs to cower a little lower. To God be the glory.

  3. Oh, Tracy! This is so good and so true. God must get the glory so that we know only He has the victory and nothing is of ourselves.
    Blessings,
    Janis
