A New Season

God's Word is full of newness.  A new season, a new day, a new covenant!  For this I am very grateful because if I were to not have the opportunity in Christ to be renewed, refreshed, restored, I would be swamped under with negativity, disappointment (in myself and others), and weighed down by sin.  I would be NOTHING without Christ, without His forgiveness and His grace and mercy!  All of which are undeserved and unmerited!

So join with me today in acknowledging our Lord and Saviour and giving Him thanks for all He has done for us and is doing, and still will do!  Some of us have been through recent storms, some of us are going through rough ones now, and some of us are heading for a storm.  I'd like to say to all of us, no matter where we are on our life journey God is with us.  He says so in His word and He is not a liar!

Eccl 3 v 1 - 11:
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
9 What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?
10 I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

  1. Dear Tracey
    Oh, you can say that again; without Jesus we are absolutely and completely lost and can do nothing! I think that we learn through every season in life. How can we appreciate summer if we don't know what winter is and vice versa.

  4. Hi Tracy! I am so thankful that God is with me. I am in a bit of a rough season, but I see more and more that God has it in his hands. I shouldn't worry, just hold on and watch him bless us. Your post has been a good support for that thought!

    Hope you are doing well? And that you are enjoying the Fall Season, which has finally decided to come to our town :)
