Not Always as it Seems!

This last week had its ups and downs!  Okay, it was quite a stressful and emotional week for me.  Things that I never thought would be an issue, became an issue.  And by the end of the week, I came to the realization that it wasn't actually about the "issue" at hand anyway.

I believe the Lord allowed this series of events to teach me something!  To remind me of something.  It was more, "Tracy, this is not about what it seems, its about what I want you to learn, so that when this "issue" arises again, you know how to handle it!"

Okay, having learnt that painful lesson, yes, I get the point.

I don't really want to elaborate except to say that often times there is another reason why we are going through what we are going through.   God never allows stuff to happen for "sport"!  He never allows anything to happen that you can't handle and there is always a growth element involved.  Some stuff is short term and quick to overcome if we get the lesson.  Other stuff lasts a lot longer.  That stuff can be incredibly painful and we can go through every emotion known to man woman, before we get through it, trusting God more, leaning on Him more, seeking Him more.  Which sometimes, is all He wants.  Your complete attention so you do not become lost to Him.

My encouragement to you is to trust the Lord no matter where you are on your journey through life because He is with you, He does have a reason for it, and He loves you so much He is prepared to harm the flesh to win your soul.

Eph 3 v 20:  Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

God bless
Tracy

  3. I have to constantly remind myself that God allows us to go through stuff so that He can comfort us and know the true joy of His peace and assurance during any situation....He has promised us that our "suffering" is not in vain or without a purpose! :) (I sure learn the hard way sometimes~ha!)

Blessings Tracy; I hope your new week has more ups than downs friend! :)

  4. HI Tracy! What a beautiful point that God doesn't challenge us for his own entertainment. Sometimes it does seem that way, because I don't think the suffering has any point.

Trust is a huge hurdle for me at times, and it's hard to keep on when I can't see the end. But it's good think of it as training for later, as you pointed out. Whatever his reasons, they are good. Even if it looks bad!

    Happy Monday, my friend :)

  5. Trusting God where we are at without seeing the whole picture can be so hard sometimes. Thank you for the reminder. :)

    1. Hi Mary, it is hard but if we trust Him, we eventually figure it out, or - He shows us :)

  6. I just posted something about a situation that wasn't all that it seemed. God has a way of working His purposes out, no matter what we see on the surface of our lives. His Spirit is within us, and the tinkering work of sanctification is never-ending.

Be encouraged - there is always a *why* - though we may not see nor understand it.

    GOD BLESS!

  7. It's out of love that He teaches us. Sometimes our trial takes up our whole scope of vision, so it's so important that we remind each other that He is in the midst of us and our situation.

  9. You will never know how you ministered to me through your words tonight. I am in a severe battle that involves having to step away from dear, precious friends, due to doctrinal differences. I find it so sad, and it hurts so deeply, but reading your words made me see that God has a purpose in this that maybe I am not seeing. I can't believe how appropriate your words were to my situation. Thank you for minding God and for sharing your heart and the thoughts He has given you. He really used you to help me tonight. God bless, Cheryl

  10. He's always drawing us closer to Him. Our pastor is doing a sermon series called, God is always up to something good. It has been such a wonderful lesson and reminder to keep our focus on Him. Thank you for this message and for linking up for Three Word Wednesday.

  12. Sorry you had an up and down week last week. But, I love your attitude of knowing that there is purpose and a lesson from God in all we go through. Trusting Him is the key, isn't it? That's what I am doing!!

Blessings to you, Tracy! In Him, Joan

  13. I too have had weeks such as yours. God does have a reason for everything. Turning to Him and trusting should be the easiest answer but also the hardest. I truly enjoyed your post today. Thank you!

  14. Have you been living my life these past two weeks - I agree - that He has a plan - a plan to prosper - that something good will come out of all this challenge:) Wish you lived next door - some hot ginger apple tea would be good to share and encourage!

  15. Stuff happens, and if we don't get the message the first time, it might happen again. Becoming teachable is not an easy task for us with strong wills, but God is faithful and once we understand his direction, it becomes a simple path to follow. Thank you for sharing with us here at "Tell Me a Story."
