Winsome Wednesday - Please...Don't...Fear....

I feel so strongly this morning to encourage someone.  I don't know who but God does so this is for you.

Isaiah 41 v 10:  "Fear not, for I am with you;  Be not dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."

Okay, now speak that out loud, and put your name in there.  I will put mine in so you get the flow of it....

Fear not Tracy, for I am with you.  Be not dismayed Tracy, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you Tracy, Yes, I will help you Tracy, I will uphold you Tracy, with My righteous right hand.

Now, you do it with your name.

God is for you!  And fear is not from Him.  So if you fear, stop a moment, remind yourself that God does not instil fear!  Tell yourself that even though you don't know what is happening down the road, God does, and you will walk one brave step at a time, knowing He sees the bigger picture and has your heart and its desires in His heart!

Just to re-iterate:  Isaiah 41 v 13:  For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, "fear not, I will help you."
  • Trust
  • Walk one step forward at a time
  • replace thoughts of fear with words of God
  • YOU CAN DO THIS, because He is your strength
God bless

  1. Tracy, I so learned the power of God over fear this last week. My husband and I were evacuated in the middle of the night last Wednesday due to a raging wildfire that came within a mile of our home. We were finally able to return, safe and sound, on Sunday night.

I was terrified at first, but then God began to give me a sense of peace deep down inside. And, I will never forget the Scriptures He pointed me to, nor the absolute sense of His close Presence.

He was, and continues to be, my Strength.

    GOD BLESS!

    1. Hi Sharon, wow, you have had a very trying week. All I can think is that in your shoes I too would have panicked and worried but ultimately I'd rather go through whatever we have to, with God, than without Him. It is He that gives us peace in the waves and the storm (and the fires). Praising Him with you that your stuff was not damaged.
      God bless

This was a reading I received this morning and then I read your blog...word received and holding close to my heart :-)‘Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ Isaiah 41:10 Yes! That's what we need, God to meet us at our point of need, to strengthen us, to help us and to uphold us. Rest assured that He is with you and will sustain you in all you need to face today. He is the Creator of the Universe, He knows your name and the number of hairs on your head. He is with you and that will NEVER change! God bless you today!

    1. Hi Jenifer, so easily said, but not so easily done, but that is our own fear causing doubts. Sigh, we have to keep on keeping on though.

  4. Fear still comes too naturally to me, so I love being reminded that the Spirit of the Lord does not give me a spirit of fear but one of power. I did read Isaiah 41:10 as you suggested with my own name inserted. Powerful. Thanks, Tracy.

  6. "Do not fear"...that phrase, or a similar one is in God's word 365 times. That's one time for each day of the year! I think it's something worth remembering daily! :-)

    Blessings, Joan
