You're doing WHAT?????

Yes, I am, I am going to study further.  My hubby and I have signed up for a Bachelor of Theology.  Online studying so it may take a while!  At my age, studying further?  Well, my age doesn't scare me because online, who cares right?  LOL!  Even the studying doesn't scare me, maybe because I haven't received any of the course material yet!  Maybe then I will be scared.  Smiles!!!   Actually, I am very very excited!  I have wanted to study further for a long time.  And if I'm going to study further, then I want to study God's word!

(for those of you who KNOW me, note the tea-cup!)

About 10 years ago, both myself and my husband did 2 years bible school through the church we were at and I loved it.  I wanted to learn more.  But sometimes life just whacks you in the face and you have to deal with it, right?!

I have this hunger to dig deeper, know God's word more, understand more fully!  And as I study I will be blogging about what I've learnt, maybe throw out a few questions that I have been challenged with!  :) But I will be sharing every nugget I discover with you!

Things may change a bit around here.  I don't think I will change the furniture around too much but I might put Winsome Wednesday on hold while (only might) I see how much I can cope with.  I have to make sure that I don't mess with my Blog Goals (which you can read HERE).

So,  up, up and away.....

I want to encourage you with this thought, we are never too old to learn, and never to old to be blessed by God's word.  In fact the word says for us to remain teachable.  And if you do, I do not think we can imagine the blessing awaiting us in His word.

My Goal:  Ps 119 v 11: Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You!

God bless
Tracy

  1. Dear Tracy
I hear your heart about the studies, dear friend. I have also a very inquisitive mind. I study a lot, though unofficially, and use the online material of great Bible teachers. Then I can do it in my own way and pace. I hope you are blessed in your studies.
    Much love XX

  9. I think this is awesome! I have toyed with the idea of going back to school and getting my Master's degree, or getting some sort of online certificate in Biblical studies. I am intrigued by the idea of studying Scripture in more depth.

Keep us posted on what you're learning.

And, hope Winsome Wednesday doesn't get moved too far for too long!!

    GOD BLESS!

  13. Hi Tracy- love that we have the same name (mine is also spelled like yours) and that we both love to learn. I have half of my seminary training done and am praying about going back to finish a Masters degree. Thank you for inspiring me today to do so! The Holy Spirit is with you and will help you as you seek to grow in understanding of His Word. Glad I came over from w2w! Be encouraged :) Tracy Steel

  14. May you receive with joy the engrafted Word and take care to sift opinion and scriptural fact with your fine sifter. This could be an exciting adventure for you both and we are NEVER too old to learn and study - - or try new things.

  15. I am reminded of the old hymn, Deeper deeper in the Love of Jesus - - and that goes for studying deep into God's word too! Thanks for sharing at "Tell Me a Story."

  16. Hi Tracy! Haven't read your blog for awhile and was delighted to see it in the Bible Love Notes. Any time one can learn more about God with the intent to use it (as you do) I say go for it and keep on going. Blessings and Love

  18. I love this. My Grandma was in her late 90's when she passed away. She had all of the latest technology (and showed it off to anyone who was or was not interested! lol!). The only thing she didn't have was a computer - and she said that the reason for this was that she couldn't afford the one she wanted (with ALL the bells and whistles). She was always learning, she had TONS of documentaries - she wanted to travel but couldn't physically do travelling -- so she "travelled" via documentary films (and she had one for nearly every country!). When she passed away, she was rather ill, but her mind was sharp as a tack. And that taught me so much...always keep learning, never stop learning! Thank you for linking up with A Little R & R Wednesdays! I hope you'll be back to link up again.
