Winsome Wednesday - Music Experiment!

This past weekend my mind and body were suffering the consequences of letting all this "stuff" get to me.  So I decided to update my music on my ipod and just spend the weekend blasting my negative thoughts away with praise and worship music.

Experiment - Blast negative thoughts away with praise and worship music

Results - positive - literally!

You can't think much when you focus on the words and start enjoying the music.  It lifted my mood, changed my focus.  It reminded me that I'm focusing on the problem and not the problem-solver.  It also reminded me that God wants me to praise and worship HIM and focus on HIM and leave the problem/situation to HIM.  Seriously it is that easy but we choose to complicate things.

By the time this is published, and all you lovely ladies are linking up, this thing will be over or drawn out or whatever, but no matter what, God does not change and HE is my God and Saviour.  HE will get the glory for the victory we will have, whenever that may be.  In the meantime, praise and worship.
2 Chron 20 v 17:  You will not need to fight in this battle.  Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, Who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!  Do not fear of be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.

Okay, where is that volume button.......

God bless ladies
Tracy

  2. Music is definitely healing Tracy; a joyful noise means singing, shouting, and clapping unto God! It always creates an atmosphere of joy, and helps soothe away our troubles. :) I hope all of this is over for you, and that you and your family can close the doors on the past year of disputes and heartbreak, and move on with your lives. No matter the outcome, God has been in it with you all the way!

    Sending lots of <<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>!!!!!!

  3. Tracy, absolutely love that verse! If we could only learn to "stand still and see" and let Him fight our battles. We would be so much the better for it. Said a prayer for you when I got up. You were on my heart! Whatever the outcome...continue to give thanks. GOD has been with you and always will be. I'm gonna go and turn on my music now!!!

Blessings and hugs are coming your way this morning from Idaho!

  4. Just what I needed to read this morning Tracy! I literally woke up trying to "complicate things" so I grabbed my Bible and my Jesus Calling book and started my morning with Him. I was already thinking about praise music today and you confirmed my need for it. Thank you! God bless you today!

  6. Music has a way of changing our mood almost instantly. Your choosing to listen to praise and worship music over the weekend was a great choice! How can we not turn our focus to Him when we are listening to words of affirmation of our God? Blessings to you, Tracy! I pray that the "stuff" is over and a smooth path is ahead!

  7. Right there with ya on that! I know for me, worship music is a great perspective flip. I cannot keep dwelling on negativity, or whatever it may be, when I am praising an incredibly awesome God!

    Thanks for hosting!

  9. Great advice, Tracy. I forget that music can be a great encouragement, and can buoy my mood. I'll have to remember that!

I am always encouraged by the music worship in church. I really think God's creativity shines in the musical world!

    GOD BLESS!

  11. Worship has away of moving us past ourselves doesn't it.
