Day 2 of walking around Jericho

Day 2 of walking around the walls of Jericho has arrived.  I do not know where it will lead but I do know the Lord wants me to trust Him blindly.  I have not been doing this very well.  I have been stressed, anxious, my muscles are taut!  I keep feeling the need to inhale and exhale deeply, to release all this tension.

But these things I know:
  • My God is my vindicator (Ps 43 v 1: Vindicate me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation...)
  • He is my strong fortress (Ps 18 v 2:  The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer)
  • He loves me and will protect me (Ps 91 v 7:  A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your righthand; but it shall not come near you)
  • He will not allow me to be put to shame (Ps 31 v 17:  Do not let me be ashamed, O Lord, for I have called upon You; let the wicked be ashamed)
  • He works what others have meant for my harm, for my good (Gen 50 v 20:  But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good...)
  • I have favour with man and with God because His word says so (Prov 3 v 4: And so find favour and high esteem in the sight of God and man)

So, today I walk around my Jericho, in faith!  Knowing that my God is with me every step of the way.  I do not know the outcome, but He does and He asks that I trust Him for a good outcome.

My encouragement to you is no matter how dark it seems, no matter how fruitless and useless it appears, God is in CONTROL.  He is more than capable of making success out of failure.  Remember too His word is not void, nor is it anything other than the truth.  Trust Him, trust His Word.

God bless
Tracy

It is not always easy to realize the fact that God is in control, but when we believe with all our hearts we can abandon our fears and rest in His comforting arms! :)

  8. Great message, Tracy. And I love that Jericho wasn't conquered by an army in their own strength. It was in their waiting and obedience to God that victory was won. Hang in there. God is with you.

    March on.

    GOD BLESS!

  11. Thank you for sharing at Tell me a Story. That walk each day was only once, but on that final day it was 7 times and the walls came down at the shout and the blowing of the trumpets. Praise is needed while in victory or in trial. Not praise for the trial, but praise will lift us up above the circumstances.
