Winsome Wednesday - Word Wise!

This week I am hanging onto the word with everything that is in me.  I am REMINDING myself of what God has said to me in my situation.  Friends, family, and bloggers I consider to be both (friends and family) have been sending me AWESOME scriptures and I have been receiving much prayer!  You all are amazing.

So, at this point, I am adding to my list of finger-clutching, hanging on with all my might, scripture.  I pray it blesses you as much as it blesses me:
  • Matt 9 v 28-29:  When He reached the house and went in, the blind men came to Him, and Jesus said to them, Do you believe that I am able to do this?  They said to Him, Yes, Lord.  (29) Then He touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith and trust and reliance [on the power invested in Me] be it done to you. WOW, thank you M for this scripture.  Kind of hit me in the heart!
  • Mark 5 v 36:  Overhearing but ignoring what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear; only keep on believing.  Another great one M.
  • Heb 4 v 13:  And not a creature exists that is concealed from His sight, but all things are open and exposed, naked and defenseless to the eyes of Him with Whom we have to do.  Yes, God sees EVERYTHING.  Thanks for that reminder Sonja.
  • Exodus 14 v 14:  The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.  Thank you for this reminder Chelle.
A fellow blogger (Hazel) reminded me that if our spiritual eyes could see, we would see a great army around us, to protect us, comfort us and guide us.  These are snippets of how God is showing me He is with me in this.

So, my fellow bloggers, friends and family, be encouraged today to know God has got your back!

God bless
Tracy

  1. Indeed, such encouraging verses Tracy. I don't know what's happening in your life, but I pray for the Lord's peace and comfort to surround you. It seems that is exactly what He's doing... praising Him with you! I also like to imagine the battle going on overhead between the devil and His angels... for me and you. What an awesome God we serve! Blessings!

  2. He's making firm the foundation under your feet.
Not too sure what that means - but hope you'll know.

  3. Just have to add my favorite verse that I repeat when I need to rise above difficulties and sorrows; it's His promise that assures us that when we trust Him He has the power to control ALL of our life! :) Isaiah 40:31-"But those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint."

    Blessings dear Tracy...prayers and love!

  6. Romans 8:21 "If God be for us, who can be against us?" I love that God gives us so many promises. He knew the struggles we would have and He has encouragement and promises for each one of them. Thanks for hosting the link-up. Have a blessed week in the Lord!

Not sure what you are going through but want to say that you are in my thoughts...your verses apply to who I have been focusing on this week...The-God-Who-Sees...He sees us in all of our affliction and He is ready at all times to rescue His anointed if we wait for Him. Love to you and blessings being sent your way, EvieJo

  10. I find no other comfort greater than the Word of God. So often He leads me to just the perfect verse to calm and encourage me. Sometimes my heart leans so heavily on Romans 8:28 that all I can do is say this, over and over: "All things, all things, all things..." Yes, ALL things work together for good. This I believe, this I must trust in.

    Praying for you and yours!!

    GOD BLESS!

  11. I just read these scriptures this morning on Piper's site.."Be Strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the King of Assyria and the vast army with him for there is a greater power with us than with him. With him is only the arm of the flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles" 2 Chronicle 32:7-8
Do not know what your "King of Assyria" is but we have a greater power within us. Praying for you

  13. Sorry you are going through tough times. I know what it feels like and emphasize with you. Knowing that God is in control certainly can help. All those Scriptures are awesome ones to pin on your fridge or bulletin board.

Blackaby states: "God did not create you for time; He created you for Eternity" As you get closer to God may you feel His Presence deeply and may He bless you with a peace that passes all human understanding.

    Praying for you,
    Janis
