Winsome Wednesday - Why Worry?

You know that saying, "If you worry you die, if you don't worry you die?" Kind of true, so why worry?
Okay, not such a good Christian view point but the Word does tell us many times not to worry.  To place all our concerns in His hands.  So my encouragement to you today is "DON'T WORRY, God has this!"

Matt 6 v 25:  Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; not about your body, what you will put on.  Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?

Matt 6 v 33:  But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God bless
Tracy

  2. It's like that saying, "Worry is like a rocking chair. It will give you something to do but get you nowhere." Worry is a joy robber and time eater. Worship is by far a better alternative. :)

Thanks for hosting the Link Up!

  3. I hadn't ever heard phrase like that before but it's true worrying helps nothing. But thank goodness God has given us a better alternative.

  4. So true, Tracy. And I can be such a worrier even though I know it's useless and sinful. Thanks for this reminder not to worry about our upcoming Christmas celebration and what the prickly personalities might do. : )

  5. We are all sometimes guilty Tracy, but I figured that if I can constantly keep my eyes on The Master (which sadly, I fail to sometimes) Then I would not worry at all.
Thanks a lot for the reminder and the party, have a super blessed day!

  7. I agree with Jen~this is such a timely post for this time of year. This time of year can be so hard on those that are already struggling to make ends meet and then add buying gifts into the equation and it makes it even harder. God Bless Tracy!

  9. Thanks Tracy! Matthew 6:32 says, "for after all these things do the Gentiles(unbelievers) seek....". In other words, these are the things that the unbelievers(sinners) worry about, and as believers we should not even concern ourselves with them. Thanks for sharing and thanks for the link-up. Have a blessed day!

  10. Don't worry... so true. I can't help but think of all those I've encountered suffering from anxiety disorders, and hearing "don't worry" tends to make them worry even more... me included! ;) Thank you for sharing.

  13. Worry doesn't change things, it only tires us out in our thought life! Better to simply trust and cast our care on the Lord.!
