One door closes - and - Another one opens!

I thought that I was to be part of organising a women's conference and I was very excited as I had never been part of something like this.  But for me, the puzzle pieces just seemed to be shifting in a different direction.

One closes - and - another opens!

So on reflecting on all that had transpired I made a decision to step back.  I felt such peace.  I communicated this to the relevant parties and I felt that all was taken in the right spirit, and, I am still looking forward to the conference.

A couple of hours later I was checking my emails and someone had contacted me with regards to being a group leader of 5 ladies to weekly encourage and pray for one another.

And.... my heart leapt!  This is my heart's desire.  To encourage other women!  To pray for and with them.  This lovely lady had spoken right into my heart and I knew this to be God's leading.

Is He not amazing?  I have come through the things I have been through because of women God has placed on my path, and now I am being placed on the path of those who need encouragement or an ear to hear, or a prayer warrior.

I want to encourage you with 2 things today:

  1. if you continue to seek, you will eventually find your niche in Christ, and
  2. what you go through in life God will use to help others.
Is 42 v 16:  I will bring the blind by a way they did not know, I will lead them in paths they have not known.  I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight.  These things I will do for them, and not forsake them.

In anticipation, I am walking through this open door...

God bless friends
Tracy

  4. I like your blog! Found it via On Your Heart Tuesdays. Aren't you glad you were obedient when the Lord asked you to resign from the conference. Then there was no question if you should lead the smaller group. I love the small group dynamic. The Holy Spirit has such freedom when just a handful are gathered. You might enjoy the post I linked up today in regards to prayer. http://reflectinghisglory.com/?p=1478

  12. Is. 42:16 is one of my main spiritual warfare scriptures. Only HE knows the right direction necessary to go and the right people to touch and the right manner in which to do it. ABSOLUTELY!! I truly understand what you have been going through...and happy that you have found your way and are being blessed.

  14. Thank you for sharing your beautiful story on "Tell Me a Story." When you have peace you know you have closed or opened the right door. When two or three agree (or five or six) mighty things happen. Let this group of ladies believe for great things to happen in your lives, in your families and in your church

  19. Traci, I have found this also to be true! I have often allowed myself to be down when a door closes, but when we are seeking God's heart, He has been faithful to open another door almost immediately! I am happy He is using your love for encouragement and prayer in this way!

  26. Happy for you, Tracy! I just had a door that I thought was open, but I guess God was giving me a choice about whether to shove it on open or to listen closely for His voice to see what He really wanted. "As for God, His way is perfect", and I know His way will be best.

    1. Hi Esther Joy - thank you very much. I know it is not easy sometimes to know if the doors are open or closed. I know we once 'forced' a door open and the consequences were very painful. We learnt a hard lesson there...hmmm i feel a blog post coming on.
