Winsome Wednesday - Reboot your Brain!

  • Feel like your mind is slow to capture those nasty thoughts?
  • Feel like there's one mental virus or bug  too many floating around your mind tempting you to think and act negatively?
  • Feel impatient because your thoughts are not being influenced by the truth you know is in God's word?

  • Time to reboot - Rom 12 v 2:   And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God
  • Time to debug
  • Time to refresh and renew
  • Time to do an internal mental thought scan for bugs - Ps 139 v 23-24:  Search me, O God, and know my heart: Try me and know my anxieties;  (24) And see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

The word ALWAYS brings cleansing, healing, renewal, peace!  The word is true and tested!

My encouragement to you if you're feeling bogged down in your thought life is to reboot it with God's word.
Phil 4 v 8:  Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things.

God bless
Tracy
ps:  My apologies for any incorrect computer analogies (smiles)

  1. Tracy~I loved this. Sometimes I am amazed at how powerful our thoughts are. They can change our lives for better or worse. It's so important that we take take them captive and think on things of God. I love Phil 4:8. It's one of my favorite verses. Thanks for sharing what God placed on your heart. Many blessings to you!

  3. Hi Tracy,

I often need to reboot! :) It's hard to focus on God when I don't take time to renew my mind by quiet reflection, and the key to renewing my mind, body and spirit is to develop the habit and discipline of meditating on the Word of God every day — even if it is for just a moment.

Praying that all is going well for you friend, and that you have a joyful day! :)

  7. Hi Tracy, I know how to be so stimulated by plans and busy with chores (including blog-visiting? ~ smile), but I'm grateful to the Lord for there is always this still small voice ever whispering that I need to drop everything and settle at the feet of Jesus. And by God's grace, there is not a day that I don't. Singing praises and worshiping in spirit and in truth and reading the Word - these are the things that complete my day and hold me together.

Here to link up. Thanks for hosting!

  11. Love your invitation to re-boot. Seems that my vision gets foggy without the Word. Love how Anne Voskamp reminds us, "Without the Word, life warps." Easter blessings to you. As always, thanks for hosting our link up today!

  15. Tracy,

I love this, it is amazing how one negative thought can open the door to so many others. I admit that at times I don't read the bible everyday, and I start to notice those negative thoughts creeping in.

    Blessings to you Tracy.

  16. A good virus protection program is an excellent to catch those wrong thinking thought and place them in the delete box. Another way is to replace the negative with positive thoughts. Analogy here too!

  17. Dear Tracy,
Great post! Garbage in -- garbage out! If we pollute our minds with worldly trash, how can we testify to His grace? Praise God that His Word renews our minds and gives us daily bread appropriate to every situation.
    Love in Him,
    Laurie
