A Well Timed Reminder!

In chatting on Facebook with some bloggy friends, Dawn from Beneath the Surface, reminded me of this awesome scripture:

Jer 17 v 7-8:  But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.  (8)  They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water.  Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought.  Their leaves stay green, and they go right on producing delicious fruit.

I read this and just exhale.  God is so good.  He shows us here that there will be drought, there will be tough times, but we, whose roots are sunk deep into Him, will stand.  We will still produce fruit, and we have no need to worry.

I hope for you that this is a great reminder for you too.

God bless precious bloggy friends
Tracy

Another quick reminder (smiles):  Winsome Wednesday Blog Hop is open until Saturday midnight!  If you have not yet linked up, please do!  I so enjoy and appreciate seeing you there :)

  5. This tree likes to look out and see the drought and the heat and worry, regardless of actual deep roots and juicy fruit.

  6. Hi Tracy,
This is one of my favorite Scripture verses. I find strength and comfort each time I read it. But as I read it here, just now, I realized how I can personalize it. (I've tried this with other verses, some easier to personalize, but not with this one.) Obviously, God knew I needed this right now...after I just prayed a few minutes ago. {chills...the good kind!} What a blessing the way He brings us together from around the world to touch each other's lives...and to give Him all the glory! Thank you for following His lead Tracy!
    In Christ,
    Laura

  8. There are so many times the image of bearing fruit is tucked away in the back of my mind - needing to make sure I am growing roots in good soil, that I'm getting things in my life that foster growth. Thanks for these reminders.
