Well, it doesn't often work so well, unless you hit a luck and land where you see what YOU want to see like say...."and God will smote your enemy" (smiles)
But today I thought - "Lord, what does the last Psalm say?" WOW! Its an awesome Psalm! So here goes:
Psalm 150 v 1-6:
PRAISE the Lord!
Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty firmament!
(2) Praise Him for His mighty acts;
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!
(3) Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet;
Praise Him with the lute and harp!
(4) Praise Him with the timbrel and dance;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes
(5) Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with clashing cymbals!
(6) Let everything that has breath praise the Lord
Praise the Lord!
Let everything that has breath (that's us!) PRAISE Him!
My encouragement to you is to praise God in all circumstances. Its in doing this that He works in those same circumstances for you!
God bless
Tracy

I don't like to recommend opening your Bible at random and hoping to find just the right scripture - - but it has happened to me several times. Once a warning when I was a teen and other times a blessing like turning to the last Psalm. Lovely just lovely!
ReplyDeleteHi Hazel - It is crazy but God can talk to us in that way and others any time :)

Our Lord is Worthy of Praise !!

When trials come, it is difficult to begin to praise. However, I have found, that when we do, God lifts us up and encourages us! He is such an awesome God!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Joan
Hi Joan - you are so right! We must take that step of faith in our circumstance to praise Him and the changes come!

I love this Psalm. What a reminder that there are so many reasons to praise the Lord, and so many ways in which to do it.

Tracy - I just love soaking up your constant encouragement! Isn't it true....Worship is our weapon of warfare! That the praises of God's people silence the enemy & brings victory for the people of God!! Thankful for this reminder that even in the darkest circumstances...we can lift our heads & praise. Rejoicing now that redeemed of the Lord have victory!!

Musicians and singers have such a gift for praise - but I'm learning there are other ways to praise God - with our gifts. Yet - how I want my praise offering to be just as beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi bluecottonmemory - I know what you mean. I'm not really a creative or demonstrative person, so praising Him with my gift is a learning curve for me
DeleteGod bless
