Col 3 v 23: And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men
But blogging....WOW, this has been different for me. I started it as a personal quiet time journal but it grew into what it is today! I believe blogging is something God led me to and I believe that this is where I am being used of God to encourage and the rewards are great. I AM BEING ENCOURAGED back!
Rom 12 v 10: Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honour giving preference to one another.
1 Thes 5 v 11: Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.
I have grown so much this year. I have enjoyed getting to know you all and I have been overwhelmed by your friendships. This post is to say thank you, you guys are precious and important to me and I am so looking forward to the year ahead with your friendship. I hope to continue to encourage you as you guys have encouraged me.
Lets give thanks to God for:
- this forum and
- for each other and
- for the technology that makes it all possible
God bless
Tracy
REMINDERS:
Winsome Wednesday Blog hop is still open for another day and a half :) You can find it HERE
and
The Acrostic word Challenge is open until the end of the year. You can find it HERE
An acrostic is when you take a word, for example PUSH and turn it into:
- P ray
- U ntil
- S omething
- H appens
I decided to do that with my one word for the year, CONTENT, and others liked the idea and have joined in. I'd love for you to give it a try and link your acrostic word post to the Acrostic word Challenge linky HERE. Its great fun and it does kind of make you think a little deeper about your word for the year.
God bless
Tracy

One thing I have found while blogging is that GOD reaches into my heart and changes me while speaking to others as well.

Through blogging, God has restored my desire to write. Having moved across the ocean, it has been through the words and encouragement of my sister bloggers that I have continued to press on. You are one of those sisters! May God continue to use you as you share His word from the heart.

Happy birthday for your blog! I don't even remember how I came at your blog, but I DO remember I liked it from the beginning! Your posts are always positive and inspiring! Bless you for keeping it up!
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary Tracy! blogging is a great way to meet people that you wouldn't ordinarily have a chance to meet, I love the community of people I have met. I started blogging as a way to speak to others and encourage them but I discovered that I have learned way more than I ever taught.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you Tracy.
Happy anniversary!!!! I love reading your posts and I am so glad you felt led to start a blog. :)
ReplyDeleteI started my blog when I moved to New York. Shortly after we moved, I felt God lead me to fast while reading the book of Nehemiah. I asked three friends to pray for me and told them I would start a blog so they could see where I was in Nehemiah since I lived so far away from them. After the fast and Nehemiah was done, I still felt like I should keep the blog going. God has deepened my Bible study through this process and I have grown so much through this!
May God bless you through another year of blogging!
Happy "blogiversary"!! I started blogging 2 years ago and have been totally blessed by it as well! I love how through this forum we can reach people and make connections all over the world! It is encouraging to share our faith with people just learning about Jesus...and also to get into great discussions with those who are much more mature in the faith than we are! I love the verses that you chose above. They are at the heart of Christian blogging! Happy, happy bloggy day today! Your blog is a blessing to me and to so many others! Thank you for your encouraging words over this past year! Blessings, Joan
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! Just think, if we had not started blogging we would not be meeting each other!!!! I'm glad you did because your blog and YOU have encouraged me.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary to you! Blogging has been more than I could have ever thought. I wanted to give God glory for what He has done in my life and He in turn has blessed me beyond belief. I have made so many friends through the blogging world and my friends in person and I have become closer as they have gotten to know me better through the stories. I have gained many prayer partners and I have the privelege of being one to many. It has also been a platform for sharing my love and thoughts and stories of the homeless I have met and pray that it has opened the eyes and hearts of others for these people. I see what an encouragment you have been and I just want to say thank you for writing and sticking with it! ;)
DeleteGod bless you!
Awesome! Congrats. I would never thought that it was THAT long already.
ReplyDeleteHappy blogging birthday :) I'm awed, too, at the sweet and encouraging women I've met in this crazy world of blogging- such a a beautiful reminder that God does not ask us to walk with through this world alone. Keep at it! Your words shine for Him!

ReplyDeleteTracy:
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on one year of blogging. I am happy to have "met" you here in cyber space. I, too, am thankful for this technology. Not only can Christians reach out to one another, we don't know who might be reading that doesn't know Christ.
Many blessings to you and I look forward to your future posts.
Joan
Way to go, Girl! I have been so blessed by blogging. In fact, "The Blessings of Blogging" is going to be the theme for my daily posts for the April A to Z Blogging Challenge!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the one year, Tracy! I look forward to the next year. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Everyone - I have been away since Friday and am trying to reply to you all but my internet is not cooperating so i'm saying a general thank you! Tracy
Hi Tracy,
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your one year of blogging! I'll be coming up on my one year soon, and it's been such a blessing. God has used my blogging to reach other women (and maybe some men as well?!?)with the Word of God, and personally, He has shown me that I am writing, not just wanting to write. I always wanted to be a writer and used to dream of writing children's fiction. That dream died, but He brought the dream of writing back in a way I never imagined or even considered. And it is so much better and more fulfilling than what I thought I wanted! I have been blessed by the blogging community. What a wonderful group of God-centered and encouraging women! Thank you for being a part of this community!
In Christ,
Laura
