Me: God can I ask u a
question?
God: Sure
Me: Promise u won't get
mad
God: I
promise
Me: Why did u let so much stuff
happen to me today?
God:
What do u mean?
Me: Well, I woke up
late,
God: Yes
Me: My car took forever to
start,
God: Okay~
Me: at lunch they made my
sandwich wrong & I had to wait,
God:Huummmm...
Me: On the way home, my phone
went DEAD, just as I picked up a call.....
God: All
right~
Me: And on top of it all off,
when I got home ~I just want to soak my feet in my new foot massager &
relax. BUT it wouldn't work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did you do
that?
God: Let me see, the death Angel
was at your bed this morning & I had to send one of the other angels to
battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that~
Me (humbled):
OH
GOD: I didn't let your car start
because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you
were on the road.
Me
(ashamed).........
God: The first person who made
your sandwich today was sick & I didn't want you to catch what they have, I
knew you couldn't afford to miss work.
Me
(embarrassed):Ok
God: Your phone went dead bcuz
the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said
on that call, I didn't even let you talk to them so you would be
covered.
Me (softly): I see
God~
God: Oh and that foot massager,
it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house
tonight. I didn't think you wanted to be in the dark.
Me: I'm sorry
God
God: Don't be sorry, just learn
to trust me.....in all things , the good & the bad.
Me: I will trust
you~
God: And don't doubt that my
plan for your day is always better than your plan.
Me: I won't God. And let me just
tell you God, thank you for everything today.
God: You're welcome child. It
was just another day being your God and I love looking after my
children.....
Duet 31 v 8: Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you: He will never fail you or abandon you.
God bless
Tracy

Sometimes we can be so self-centered!
ReplyDeleteHi Shanda - that is exactly what it is. This little scenario certainly points out there is a bigger picture :) God bless
DeleteIt's that "trust" thing again!
ReplyDeleteHi Chelle - so true, we need to get to the point where we say
Delete'ok Lord, I know You are in control, so i will relax in this situation" Great hearing from you my friend
God bless
It's even better the second time around, really makes one think.
ReplyDeleteHi Stefanie - makes you wonder about a delay or upset in your day and how the Lord may be using it for your good
DeleteGod bless (see you tomorrow for brekkies
Those all-thumbs days when everything seems to go awry - I know those days. I think I so want to do everything right that I get all torn up and miss the real blessing. Loved how your post brings out the blessings!
ReplyDeleteHi Blue Cotton Memory - you are so right, we get so frustrated and worked up and....miss the blessing. So true. God bless
DeleteSuch a wise, loving Father...
ReplyDeleteHi Stacy - absolutely, we need to trust He KNOWS best and the bigger picture!!
DeleteGod bless
I have found, it is so easy to say, "trust Him"...and how many times I have counseled or taught others, trust Him in the storm. Yet, how difficult, when darkness surrounds, to see Him with spiritual eyes and hold tight....even though the world to the flesh looks only dark. Opening my Spiritual eyes today, sister. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHi Jen - you are so right! This past week I had to tell myself that the Lord is in control, despite how I felt, despite how it looked. And this week, because I chose to believe and trust, things are a little brighter, a little more in place!
DeleteGod bless
Haven't seen it before Tracy, all new to me and I love it! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHi Marja - makes you look at "circumstance" differently
DeleteGod bless

steph

DeleteGod bless
I read this earlier -- I think I got it via email and I love it! It's such a great reminder of who is in charge and who I really WANT to be in charge.
ReplyDeleteHi Jen - amen, I also want the Lord to be in control. The thing is... He is, I just need to let Him get on with it and follow :)
DeleteGod bless

I absolutely love this! It really helps to put things into perspective and see through His eyes.
ReplyDeleteHi Jenifer - amen, next time I'm held up in the traffic I'll say thank you, instead of moan and groan :) Happy birthday sweet friend!
DeleteGod bless
WOW! I have not seen that particular one. What a great reminder that HE is ALWAYS in CONTROL. Thank you for the sweet smile and lovely blessing on this first day of Lent 2012!
ReplyDeleteHi Kaye - its a great 'conversation' to open our eyes to how involved God is in our lives :)
DeleteGod bless
Love this reminder... Thank you hosting the blog link-up. I don't think I have linked here before so I will look forward to meeting new friends.
ReplyDeleteHi Gayle - so glad you stopped over. I will definitely be popping over to visit with you.
DeleteGod bless
I love that, Tracy! God sees everything...the whole picture. We only see what is right in front of that (and sometimes not even that much!) He always does what is best. I love the car example. I have often run that scenario through my mind when I am "stuck" in traffic or behind a slow moving vehicle. I figure that God must want me to slow down for some reason...and I trust in Him! Blessings, Joan
ReplyDeleteHi Joan, me too! :) NOw to put that into practice in every scenario :)
DeleteGod bless
Ah ... trust. It so often comes down to that for me.
ReplyDeleteFondly,
Glenda
Hi Glenda - trust and obey and contentment... not always easy but the only way
DeleteGod bless
Love, love, love this post....don't you sometimes wonder how many messes God keeps us out of?!?!?
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie - I know, I think maybe its a good thing we don't know! :)
DeleteGod bless
I've thought about this many times when my day seems to be going badly (usually not at the moment I'm going through it, but afterwards.) If we only could see each and every thing He does for us throughout the day, we would be so in awe of His love and protection....but then, it wouldn't require us to have the faith in Him that we are asked to have.
ReplyDeleteIn His Lo♥e, Ann
Hi Ann - if we could we things the way He does we might be terrified :) And as you say, we would not need faith.
DeleteGod bless
I love this story! We won't understand until we get to glory how He spared us from all sorts of disasters through what we perceived as inconveniences or worse at the time! We should always remember Romans 8:28.
ReplyDeleteLove & blessings,
Laurie

Hi Laurie - amen!
DeleteI loved this. First time visiting your blog and I am so glad I did!
ReplyDeleteHI there - so glad you did and I will be over to visit back soon
DeleteGod bless
We often fret and fume when all the time it was for our good. If only we could have that conversation, we would then understand.
ReplyDeleteHi Robert - we would definitely be reminded that there is a bigger picture which we can't see
DeleteGod bless
Another reason to "count it all joy when we encounter various trials." Thanks for the reminder. My first time visiting your blog but I'll be back!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kate - so glad you have visited. I'll be over to visit back soon.
DeleteGod bless
I received this one too and it definitely makes you think.

Tracy
Tracy, I recently saw that too. It's pretty powerful. God knows what He is doing even when we sometimes doubt and question.
ReplyDeleteI have read that, and loved it. There are so many things we don't see as God's hand. :)
ReplyDeleteWe don't realize how many times and all the things God protects us from.
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
Joan
