Obviously the important bit here is that God is honourable and keeps His word and on top of that, He shows us His mercy and loving-kindness. The point I want to make is the second bit ....to your servants who walk before You with ALL their heart!
If you serve God with all your heart, trying to live in His ways, humbling yourself before Him, drawing others to Him with the way you live, in your home, at work, in church, you are positioning yourself for blessing.

| Growing daily in His ways |
You have to be:
- persistent (like Jacob),
- reliable (like Joseph),
- push through (like Moses),
- have faith (like Abraham) and
- have guts (like Esther).
I pray this encourages you!

Earlier today in my prayer journal, I wrote down the following:
ReplyDelete"Obey now...receive later. God never wastes time. Even while we are waiting He is working - growing us, shaping us and molding us. He is preparing us for what he has planned!" You are so right. We may not feel His blessing immediately, but you can be sure that as we demonstrate our faith by obeying the Lord, He will shower His blessings upon us! God is so good!
Hi Joan - that is so true, obey now...receive later. God knows when the time is right :)

So true Tracy; we need to serve Him with all our heart and immerse ourselves in it and apply it to our lives, because the only way to find peace and rest for our souls is to walk on God’s path and do it His way!

Oh how I long to have my heart FULLY belong to God! I find myself falling so short all the time. But my blessing and joy is that God knows my failings and the deepest longings within me - that groaning for the full redemption that will come in Glory! Thanks for this very encouraging post! And thanks for hosting this link up!
ReplyDeleteHi Kate - so nice to meet you :) Thank you for your kind and encouraging words. I hope to see you on the link-up again next week. I've popped over to visit you too.

Tracy,
ReplyDeleteAs I read your post today...especially your list at the end...I was reminded of this passage in Hebrews 12:1 -
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us."
Thanks for the daily dose of encouragement :)
~Stacy
Hi Stacy - ahh, you encourage me! :)
DeleteGod bless and great verse
You are always encouraging, Tracy!
ReplyDeleteAnd God is moving BIG time all over. In the last week so many of my friends started ministries and charities ... God's love is exploding and I'm so excited to be a part of it.
Have a lovely day!
Felecia

Thank you for your encouraging words today Tracy. I also need patience, so I'm adding that with faith to Abraham. :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Laura
Tracy, what wonderful words of encouragement! Even more so than any earthly father wants to give good gifts to his children, Our Father wants to bless us richly and abundantly! As our pastor says, we just have to "be blessable."
ReplyDeleteLove in Him,
Laurie
HI Laurie - i love that - be blessable - thank you

While it it true that we must position ourselves for blessings, there are times, when just out of His goodness he pours our blessings too much to receive. (Perhaps we were in position and didn't realize it.)
ReplyDeleteHi Robert - so true. Our God is so gracious and He looks for opportunities to bless us. Our God is amazing
DeleteGod bless
Our God is so good and so faithful and so loving and trustworthy and he loves to bless His children. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteHI Ms Kathleen - amen. You have a great day too!

Hi Jen - It definitely does give one hope and courage to push through when you trust God's word in your circumstance

Hi Tracy,
ReplyDeleteI remember typing a comment yesterday, but now I don't see it. I guess it either didn't go through or I'm losing it. (I'm going with the 1st one. lol) Anyway, I found your post encouraging. Thank you!
