| We need forgiveness every day! |
Well, people are people and I reckon we are pretty much the same as the people of that time and they needed a sin offering EVERY DAY. They needed lambs and bulls offered EVERY DAY for their sins!
This made me realise that I am very very grateful that Christ made a one time forever ultimate sacrifice to suffer for my sins and those of everyone else. And that I am in need of His mercy and grace EVERY DAY. I am far from perfect and the word says:
Lam 3 v 22-23: It is because of the Lord's mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His tender compassions fail not. (23) They are new every morning, great and abundant is your stability and faithfulness.
We are in need of our Saviour, His grace, His mercy EVERY DAY.
What does He require of us?
- Our thanksgiving
- Our praise
- Our trust
- Our lives.
Amen and amen
God bless
Tracy

Great reminder. We all tend to overlook this in our busy lives, or is it just me?
ReplyDeleteI needed to read this Tracy. It was such an encouragement to me. Thank you for posting all these Scriptures reminding us that God knows we need Him and the forgiveness He offers EVERY DAY! What a blessed way to start the day!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you!
Pam
Hi Pam - His grace being new every morning is so humbling and so amazing. What a father we have.

Beautiful post today friend! Trusting is God's faithfulness makes me confident in His promises; His love and mercy are greater than my sins, and He promises forgiveness. Amen! :)
DeleteBlessings and hugs to you!
Denise
Hi Denise - absolutely, His love and mercy are greater than our sin, amen
DeleteI didn't even notice that. It's amazing what you miss, but that's why I love reading what others catch.
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly - I think a lot of my posts are going to travel with my 90 day journey :)
DeleteYes, I need Him EVERY DAY. Grateful that each day is filled with new mercies.
ReplyDeleteHi Wanda - I'm right with you on that. God bless
DeleteAmen, Tracy! Oh how I need Him every day and every moment. And I am abundantly grateful I don't have to sacrifice a bull or sheep every day. Thank YOU Jesus< for your sacrifice for our sins!
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa - amen to that. I don't think I could handle all of that. I too am grateful to the Lord for His sacrifice!
DeleteGreat post today. I like it, thank you.
ReplyDeleteHi Jedidja - thank you sweet lady. I have missed seeing you here. God bless
DeleteWonderful reminder of just what Jesus did for us by dying on the cross. He paid the price, once and for all. We no longer need to offer daily sacrifices for our sins. But we should remember to thank Him daily.
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa - so true. Remember daily and make a thanksgiving and praise offering!
DeleteWhat a sacrifice He made for us and in return He wants our hearts....He is to be praised and honored every second of every day.....
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy - amen to that. So true that every opportunity should be taken to give back to Him
DeleteGod bless
I am also so thankful that Christ made the ultimate sacrifice to save us from our sins! Each day, when we come before Him in humble submission, He blesses us with His mercy! And each day, He makes me fall even deeper in love with Him! Oh what a Savior He is!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I love how you put the links to the blogs you link up with weekly in one neat gadget! Very nice!
Hi Joan - amen, what a Saviour He is. And thanks, it took me a while to get it right but it is kind of neat hey?! :)

Great post, Tracy! I love these verses in Lamentations - I pray them every morning. If not for God's grace...I shudder to think!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Life Lessons! I appreciate your comment, and the wealth of information about those helping in the townships. It's good to hear of a large number of people who are meeting so many of the practical needs of the people in these areas!
I probably didn't do a very good job of explaining our hosts comment - they have learned the Xhosa language and have established churches in the Port Elizabeth townships. A large part of their ministry involves training the Xhosa men to take over those works so they are run by national pastors. An amazing work!
We thoroughly enjoyed your beautiful country! And hope we can visit again some day! Hugs & God bless!
Hi Maria - at the end of the day, the most important thing is that there are people out there, everywhere, being Jesus to others. God bless
DeleteSo thankful to God that He provided a sacrifice once and for all! In gratitude, I want to give Him more of me every day.
ReplyDeleteHi KD - amen, so true and I too am grateful
