Winsome Wednesday - Relief!

2 Chron 20 v 15(b):  ...Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God's.

Is that not a huge RELIEF?!  We do not have to fight ANY battle.  God says the battle is His!
Relief in letting go and letting God

What does He require of us?
2 Chron 20 v 17:  You will not need to fight in this battle,
  • Position yourself, (in faith)
  • Stand still, and (in faith)
  • See the salvation of the Lord, Who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. (in faith)
  • Don not fear (in faith)
  • Or be dismayed,
  • Tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.  (in faith)
In faith, stand and see God fight your battle for you.  He gives you the victory, you give Him the glory.  A victorious circle   The brackets are my input.

My encouragement to you - stand in faith and leave the fight to God, He knows what is required for your victory.  The relief, the peace, comes in the knowing that God's word is good and true.

God bless
Tracy

  2. One of my favorite verses is Exodus 14:13-14 " Fear not! Stand your ground. The Lord will fight for you. You need only to be still!" Imagine!

  5. Plant your feet and stand fast and allow the Lord to fight for you. I like your thoughts on Gideon as he was a trembling man and certainly needed to rely on God.

  13. Amen, Tracy! Sometimes the hardest thing for me to do is just to get out of His way! His strength is made perfect in our weakness, and if we die to self, His glory lives in us.
    God bless,

  15. Tracy, thanks for sharing. I really needed to hear this today. I am always taking up fights that are not my own instead of giving it to God. Thank you for the reminder and for the list (in His Word) of what I am to do. I always need a reference guide. :) God bless.

  16. I like how you broke this down and presented it. Faith. It reminds me of the verse that says the work we have to do is believing. I need to look that up again. Thanks!

  18. Victory -- God always gives it. Maybe not in the way we'd hoped for, maybe we don't even see the victorious result. There's an old, old song we used to sing, "Faith is the victory...that overcomes the world."
