God's weapons - or - the world's?

2 Corinth 10 v 4:  For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.
The world's weapons?
So, God's weapons then!  What are they?  We have all read these verse but I for one need reminding.  So here goes
Eph 6 v 13-18:  Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (14) Stand therefore,
  • Having girded your waist with truth,
  • Having put on the breast plate of righteousness,
  • (15) and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; (16) above all,
  • taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
  • (17) And taking the helmet of salvation,
  • and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
  • (18) Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit
  • Being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.
God's weaponry!

As God's children we have access to His weaponry.  My encouragement to you is to take advantage of His grace to provide and know with God on your side, you are the majority!

God bless
Tracy

  2. I understand why you only post twice a week, but I miss the daily postings. I want to know does my bum look fat in this armour?

  3. I was trying to imagine trying to put on your fighting suit without using your hands and only your mouth!!! That is what we do with God's armour. We use our mouth to get dressed! I am so glad He has provided stable bullet proof and sword proof clothing for us to wear. Might as well shout as we go forward!

  4. This is a good reminder, for as Christians, we need to learn to put our trust in God's armor and not the world's.

God's weapons are mightier than anything this world has to offer. We need not be afraid when we put on whole armor God because we have the One who is bigger than anything in this world fighting for us.

    Blessing to you Tracy.

  13. There is so much truth, comfort, spiritual warfare in the armor when we take the time to really study it! It means more to me the older I get!

  15. I am amazed what a difference it makes in my day when I make a conscious effort to arm myself with truth and righteousness. The close I am to His heart, the more prepared I am for my day.
