5 Minute Friday - Connected!

Here we go: unedited, unscripted (scary stuff)
This is what comes to mind with this word:
  • connected, to family
  • connected, to friends
  • connected, through sharing
  • connected, through cyber-space
  • connected, through shared experiences
  • connected, by blood
  • connected, through work
  • connected, by accident (God nothing is accidental, right?!)
  • connected, through networking
  • connected, by shared interests
  • connected, by caring
EVERY ONE OF THESE CONNECTIONS IS MADE POSSIBLE BY OUR GOD!

We are connected in high places, connected by and with His favour, His love, His grace, His mercy!
Godly connections build bridges, friendships, places of heart safety, havens of hope!

Matt 18 v 20:  Where two of three have gathered in My name, there I am amidst them

Eccl 4 v 9:  Two are better than one, for they have a good return for their labour.

Eccl 4 v 12:  Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves, a cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

All these verses demonstrate to me the state of being connected.  This is how God wants us to be, connected to Him and connected to one another.  He never created us to be loners!

My encouragement to you is to seek being connected, first to Christ, and second to those He puts in your path that uplift, exhort and encourage you, and seek to do likewise to them.

God bless
Tracy

  2. Excellent choices of Scripture for connected! They fit perfectly. I, too, believe our "connections" are not coincidence but God-arranged.
    Merry Christmas, Tracy!

  6. Connecting our hearts with others is an intimidating prospect at times isn't it. Making us vulnerable and open to pain, but oh the reward of being loving and being loved!

  10. I agree that God wants us to be connected to others, yet sometimes, others, for some reason or another, don't wish to be connected to us, and that can hurt.

You wrote some great thoughts in only 5 minutes! :)
