A new thing!

Isa 43 v 18-19:  Do not (earnestly) remember the former things; neither consider the things of old.  Behold, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert

Did you see that?  God will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.  Who but God can do that?

Going through a tough time?  Can't understand why?  Maybe God is doing a new thing in your life.  Align your emotions and actions with the truth of God's word and see the awesome thing He is about to do in your life.
Open wide your arms to receive!

God bless
Tracy

  2. Sometimes the mountain before us, the one we're to climb seems as impossible as rivers in the desert. Love the imagery. Thx once again for the morsel of encouragement. See you later for uncoffee.

  4. Tracy:

Two years ago, (the first year I had my blog) I was searching the scriptures for verses with the word new. A new year was almost upon us and I looked for encouraging words to share. I came across the scripture you referenced.

At the same time, I had been praying about a difficult situation my husband and I had faced for a number of years. God used this verse to speak to my heart that He would provide a way (and in a way I would have never imagined.) A little more than a year later (early 2011), He did and yes the answer came in a way I would have never dreamed.

    We serve an awesome God!

    Blessings,
    Joan

  5. Hi Pain to Purpose - I think I should tape it up somewhere where I can see it too.

Hi Stefanie - I know what you mean. Uncoffee tomorrow?

Hi Crystal - I'm glad you have been encouraged. Thank you for the visit and comment. Will be over to visit you soon

Hi Eileen - I think this is going to become one of my favourites too

Hi Joan - I love that you have experienced this verse and can now use it as a testimony. God is good

Hi Jenifer - great encouragement indeed. The word is my anchor

Ladies thank you for commenting. I appreciate it.

  6. I am personally experiencing "a new thing" in my life. Where I am now has made every trial and heartache leading up to this place of newness more than worth it!

    Great encouragment!

  10. I am going through a challenging time and my girlfriend keeps encouraging me to do just that. She gave me the verse Jeremiah 17 vs 7-8. "But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord..." It carries on to say "He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream" I think its quite appropriate for this blog post. And the more time I spend in his presence I just feel Him say "relax" I am God. Just have to REMAIN there!! Amen.
    God bless,

  11. Tracy,

    I love that verse!

It reminds that even when I mess up, He is capable of doing a new thing.

When I think I am not good enough, He is not done with me yet.

When I begin to wonder if this is all there is, I am reminded that He above and beyond capable of resurrecting any situation.

    Blessings to you Tracy.

  12. Hi Stacy - that is what my husband and I are saying about what we are going through, if what we believe to be true will happen, then all this was worth it

Hi Robin - thank you, blessings to you too

Hi Allison - I think I'm going to memorise them too, I've added them to my memory verses, now to remember to memorise, sigh :)

Hi Marja - I think open wide to receive is a big and scary step, but often the most rewarding

Hi Anon M - your girlfriend sounds awesome :) That scripture is also one of my favourites - hence the whole lollipop tree thing going on in my blog (there is a story to it). But it is so true that when we are going through tough stuff, often it is God promoting us and the devil trying to trip us up so we lose out on God's blessing. Like you say, stay in His presence - its the best and safest place to be. Praying for you

Hi Kandi - amen, He is so much bigger than any mistake we can make and His grace and mercy give us a new start every day.

Blessings to you all. I appreciate every comment and hope you leave here encouraged.
    God bless
    Tracy
