These scriptures show me that as a person of faith, prayer must be an integral part of my every day
Vs 13: are you suffering? pray, sing praises
Vs 14: Anyone sick? Let the elders pray for them
Vs 15: Faith prayer will save the sick, sins will be forgiven
Vs 16: Confess your sins to one another, praying for each other
The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much!
Vs 17: Elijah, just a regular person like us, prayed for NO rain, and so it was. What awesome faith.
Vs 18: He prayed again, this time for rain, and....it rained!
Basically, when you have faith - you pray. In every situation, in every area, in everything - pray.

When my husband was in the hospital recovering from cancer surgery, it was the prayers of sweet Christian friends that brought the most comfort to us both. Prayer is such a gift that I don't give nearly often enough!

God seems to be opening up a new stream of thought - showing me more deeply the connection between faith and prayer. I can't even begin to articulate it right now, but I so appreciate the encouragement here for my journey.
