James - Faith prays for the Afflicted

James 5 v 13-18:

These scriptures show me that as a person of faith, prayer must be an integral part of my every day

Vs 13:  are you suffering?  pray, sing praises
Vs 14:  Anyone sick?  Let the elders pray for them
Vs 15:  Faith prayer will save the sick, sins will be forgiven
Vs 16:  Confess your sins to one another, praying for each other

The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much!

Vs 17:  Elijah, just a regular person like us, prayed for NO rain, and so it was.  What awesome faith.
Vs 18:  He prayed again, this time for rain, and....it rained!

Basically, when you have faith - you pray.  In every situation, in every area, in everything - pray.

God bless
Tracy

  7. When my husband was in the hospital recovering from cancer surgery, it was the prayers of sweet Christian friends that brought the most comfort to us both. Prayer is such a gift that I don't give nearly often enough!
