Me and Facebook

Although I vowed and declared to never be seen on Facebook, I have now joined.  So, ladies who have seen my anti-facebook comments, I apologise!

Sorry!
One of my future posts will deal with the "why" I never went on facebook, and the reason "why" I now have.  Having said that, my goals for my Facebook page are to be the same as those of my blog.  See Here for my blog goals.

I am totally new to facebook and have no idea how to link it to my blog and visa versa so I'm sure through trial and error, I will eventually get it right.  I am glad that before going on facebook I read the series on social media by Jenifer Metzger at Sweet Blessings.  I feel ready to jump right in.

If you have any advice to offer me, I am all ears.  And not only that, I would truly appreciate it.

God bless
Hope you are all having a blessed weekend
Tracy

  8. I have been on FB for awhile now. I was reluctant at first, but now I love it. It is a great way to spread The Word, keep in touch, and offer encouragement and prayers. I pray that you find it a blessing too!

  10. Hi Tracy:

Welcome to Facebook. I've been on there a while, but I don't get on as often as I once did.

I had set up Networked blogs, but since changing my blog over to Wordpress, the feed isn't working.

I'm in the process of starting a Facebook page for Reflections of His Grace and when I do, I intend to set up a feed for my blog posts.

Love the photo of the pooch - even if it isn't one of yours.

Hi Marja - I've been at this a day and i can see how one has to be careful. Suddenly seems like there isn't enough time in the day

Hi Joan - I look forward to that. I'm not so sure how the networkedblogs works. Not sure how it all links up. but I'm learning.

Thank you ladies for all your encouragement and positive thoughts on fb.
God bless and see you through the week!

  15. I am on facebook personally, and starting posting my blogs on my personal page, and have found more people read my blog who are local to me. I view facbook as my venue for my blog, I actually reach more unbelievers that way - former students, high school friends, etc. When I first started blogging, I thought I would be blogging to people "out there." But my personal facebook friends have actually emailed me or mentioned in person that they read my blog and how it ministers to them. I think, like everything else, it's figuring out what your mission and goals are, who your audience is, and what you do with it. I don't tweet, and facebook has been where I find most ministry happens. Good luck.

Hi Shanda - thanks, another link with you is always good.

Hi Brenda - that is exactly my plan. My fb page is going to be about pointing to Christ. Despite my apprehension at first, I am so excited. I want God to have all the glory

    Thank you ladies
    God bless
