D - Daily

What do I want to achieve daily?
(keeping in mind - this is my goal!)

  • Daily - I want to read God's word, preferably first thing in the morning.
  • Daily - I want to communicate with God.
I want constantly lift my thoughts to Him throughout the day.

Seeing God's beauty
  • Daily - I want to see His beauty in my life, in nature, in my family, in others.
  • Daily - I want to thank God for all I have, all my blessings, His protection, His grace and mercy.
  • Daily - I want to leave all my burdens at the cross.  Rest in His promise to give me rest (Matt 28v11:  Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.)
  • Daily - I want to confirm my faith in Him, speak aloud my belief that God is Lord of my life.
  • Daily - I want to take captive wrong thoughts and replace them with God's truth.
  • Daily - I want to grow and learn and walk the narrow road knowing that though Christ all things are possible.
  • Daily - At the end of each day, I want to know, mistakes and all, I tried my best to live my day with Christ!

My encouragement to you - live each day God's way - His mercies are new every morning!

God bless
Tracy

  4. This list is a perfect way to start any day! Daily praise and worship just sets the tone for an uplifting day. There are blessings and goodness all around us if we just take the time to focus on Him. :)

  7. God always listens to us even when we can't see Him doing anything about our situations. Truth is we all have tough times and good times and I choose to believe that God is God even when it hurts, because the thought of no God is even worse.
Daily remembering to look for the bright side.

  8. Tracy,

Sometimes in this life we can get so busy wtih our lives that we forget about Him, we forget to spend time with Him, we forget to read His word and worship Him, I admit there are days that go by that I forget to do these things, I have to daily stay connected to Him. I love what you wrote that constantly you want to life your thoughts to him throughout the day.

    Blessings to you Tracy.

  9. Hi Kate - thanks for commenting. I would love to email you direct and answer your question to the best of my ability - would you leave your email here for me? Look at Stefanie's comment above - she kind of answers part of your question.

Hi Chelle - I can say the same about you. Thanks for the lovely words. They are truly appreciated.

Hi Marja - I agree. I was doing that on my way to dropping my daughter off, and it did change my outlook for the day.

Hi Denise - that is so true. And it is all about focusing on Him. When I don't, things tend to go haywire.

Hi Maria - amen. It is my goal to get to that point.

Hi Erin. Thank you, you make me feel so special. I think I'm going to print it out as well and put it at my kettle.

Hi Stefanie - I agree with you, I also choose to believe that God is God and He has my best interests at heart no matter what the circumstances look like.

Hi Kandi - this is so true. I normally figure out I haven't spent enough time with God when all the wheels start falling off. I need to be daily reaching for Him.

Ladies, as ever, you bless me. I hope you have an awesome weekend. See you on your blogs.
    God bless

  11. Interesting comment by ME. "But what if he doesn't listen to you when you're in pain for a prolonged period of time???"

I keep wondering about folks who don't believe in God, but when they are in pain they have expectations that HE should help them. Those people don't acknowledge HIM in the good times, but when the hard times come they do wonder why HE allows this pain to be. That is actually a time in their life when they may think of HIM and wish HE would answer their pleas. And yet God is so merciful and gracious to reveal HIMSELF to folks who earnestly seek HIM.

I would agree with ME when she states that "At those trying times it's very difficult to trust in his existence." Yes, if we don't believe or trust HIM or even acknowledge or thank HIM in the good times, it really is very difficult to trust Him in the bad times. If we believe in HIS existence in the good times, then we can keep on trusting HIM in and through the bad times. We believe HE is the only one who keeps HIS promises!

Probably too wordy, but those were my thoughts! Loved your list.

  12. Beautiful daily goals, Tracy. I think so many times we forget that a healthy relationship takes work. Not because we are obligated but because we desire to grow in Christ, setting priorities like this are so important.

Hi Karen - I appreciate your thoughts. Hopefully 'Me' comes back to read. I'm hoping she'll forward an email address.

Hi Eileen. Thank you too for the encouragement. Its so true that a healthy relationship takes work. Excellent point.

Hi Shanda - the taking thoughts captive is my biggest challenge. I am so glad you have booked your ticket. When you know God has arranged things for you, you can't help but be excited. Will continue to pray for a fruitful trip.

Thank you ladies. Your comments mean very much to me

  20. Hi Tami - Thanks for the comments. Worrying does no one any good. Doesn't stop me worrying but maybe as time goes on, I'll get better at it, not worrying I mean.
God bless - praying for you and your daughter
